Feeling is Healing
“To Thine Own Self Be True” ~ The Power of Journaling
Jan.23, 2010
Here is a video I recorded of an excellent spiritual practice I use to receive clarity and inspiration, and to increase my confidence and love for myself….
Now you definitely don’t have to keep as many different journals as I do. One main journal works really well for most people. I have been keeping a journal since I was a teenager. Well, even longer if you count the childhood journals I threw away:( This practice is a beautiful way for me to connect with my core, learn from my past, and track my daily progress. If you are wondering what you can write in your journal, I have made a list of what I believe are the most important aspects of your life to record….
1. Your Goals. Anthony Robbins, in his book Unlimited Power, records: “A study of the 1953 graduates of Yale University clearly demonstrates the power of goals. The graduates interviewed were asked if they had a clear, specific set of goals written down with a plan for achieving those goals. Only 3 percent had such written goals. Twenty years later, in 1973, the researchers went back and interviewed the surviving members of the 1953 graduating class. They discovered that the 3 percent with written specific goals were worth more in financial terms than the entire other 97 percent put together… The interviewers also discovered the less measurable or more subjective measures, such as level of happiness and joy that the graduates felt, also seemed to be superior in the 3 percent with written goals.” This clearly demonstrates the power of writing down your goals!!
2. Your Feelings. When you share your feelings with others, you paint a picture of who you are to them. Your essence is then filtered through their individual judgements and opinions which can color your own clarity. When you choose instead to write your feelings down, “good” or “bad”, you always have an unbiased listener and may feel truly “heard” for the first time in your life. In my opinion, this is one of the best therapies available.
3. Your Memories. Record all the good in your life… your travels, your brags, and the most precious moments you experience. This will turn out to be invaluable to you as the years pass.
4. Your Favorite Quotes and Inspirations. As I pointed out in my video, you retain 75-90% more when you write something down. By recording your insights and what you learn, you will create an amazing source of knowledge at your fingertips. I love to re-read my journals on my Birthday and get re-inspired by all the gems contained inside.
5. Your Gratitudes. Gratitude is a high vibrational state to be in. Recording what you are grateful for on a daily basis will keep you focused on how amazing your life is!!
6. Your Questions. How do you receive what you desire? Ask! Richard Bach wrote in Illusions, “Isn’t it strange how much we know if only we ask ourselves instead of somebody else?” By writing down your deep questions you are in effect asking your superconscious mind for the answer, and trust me, you will receive the answer. Be prepared!
Dancing with Your Pain Body
Jan.18, 2010
Today I am going to talk about one of my favorite subjects of all time… Alchemy. The practice of alchemy has been used for thousands of years by many ancient cultures. Physically, it is the process of turning lead into monoatomic gold; spiritually, it is a metaphor for turning our leaden human experience into spiritual gold. In my opinion, our “leaden human experience” is what Eckhart Tolle calls our Pain Body. It is the part of us that suffers. It is our pain, our anger, our fear, our depression, and our grief. Our pain body is a fragmented part of who we are; it is our dark shadow which has taken on a life of its own.
E.J Gold, Author of The Human Biological Machine as a Transformational Apparatus, writes, “Originally, the meaning of virtue was that the noble aims and aspirations of the essential self had reached down through the mental apparatus and rooted itself into the deepest part of the machine and that the aims and aspirations of the deepest darkest part of the machine had in fact become the same as those of the essential self.”
Before we can reclaim the energy of our pain body and transform it back into our light and life force, we must surrender to it. We must allow ourselves to fully experience and express our pain in a very present and conscious way. We must learn to celebrate our darkness. This may seem counter intuitive, yet, the more we avoid our pain and push it away, the larger our pain becomes and the more control it has over our life. Many people who are aware of this will try to just observe their pain consciously when it comes up, thinking this will transform it. The drawback to this theory is that they are not really embracing their emotions. They may be allowing them, but are they really saying YES to how they feel?

For those who have years of built up longing, suffering, sadness and despair, I suggest another technique. I suggest you dance for your longing; dance for your pain. Give your shadow expression by moving it into being… scream, rant, rave and roll around, allowing yourself to fully express your deep despair through your physical body. Allow your feelings to flow through you with every movement you make while playing music which expresses how you feel inside. Real change doesn’t happen in your head, real change happens through love and when we are rooted in our body. Dancing encompasses both of these things and will help you experience a true pain body release.
Music and dancing help you access your right brain. According to Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor author of My Stroke of Insight, “our right mind is spontaneous, carefree, and imaginative. It allows our artistic juices to flow free without inhibition or judgement. The present moment is a time when everything and everyone are connectd together as one. To the right mind, no time exists other than the present moment, and each moment is vibrant with sensation.” By embodying, through your dance, and accepting your feelings completely in the present moment, you will naturally transform. It is at this moment you will become an alchemist. You will see the divinity and perfection in all that you experience. Once your feelings are seen, loved, expressed, and acknowledged, they will melt back into you and shine through you as your light and life force. You will feel enthusiasm for your life again and peace in your body.
“Dance is your pulse, your heartbeat, your breathing. It’s the rhythm of your life. It’s the expression in time and movement, in happiness, joy, sadness and envy.” ~Jaques D’ambroise

Mind Movie Manifesting Tips
Sep.02, 2009
I recently finished my very own Mind Movie! I was going to keep it all to myself, however several of my friends requested to see it. So I decided to be REAL and put it up. Check it out….
The concept of the mind movie is BRILLIANT! It uses the most powerful techniques to make you FEEL you already have what you desire. Your emotions are crucial in determining what you attract in your life. If you want something but are not in the emotional state of “having it” you will never have it. So how do you convince your emotional body? Here are some manifesting tips that mind movies use…
1) MUSIC. Florence Scovel Shinn states that “music has a 4th demensional quality and releases the soul from imprisonment. It makes wonderful things seem possible, and easy of accomplishment!” Find music you love which uplifts your mood and raises your vibration.
2) IMAGES. It is said that “a picture is worth a thousand words.” In order to manifest something new in your life you must have a clear picture in your mind of what you desire. You can use images to speed up this process. Find pictures which inspire you and represent what you desire.
3) POWERFUL STATEMENTS. By using both images and affirmations you use both your right and left sides of your brain for optimum integration. When picking out your affirmations remember to put them in present tense. Instead of saying “I will have this” say “I have this now.” Take a stand, know your power, and state that you already have what you desire NOW. Your subconscious will make it true.

Embracing and Understanding Your Emotions
Aug.14, 2009
Whether we are aware of it or not, our emotional state has a huge impact on how successful we are in life. If you look at our world today, almost every decision and action a person takes is based on an emotional cause. Jim Ryerson, author of “First 100 Days of Selling” states, “Customers buy for personal and emotional reasons and then justify their decision based on facts and figures.” This is true of many other things as well. Our emotions are what really drive us, consciously, and more often than not, unconsciously. Robert Stevens, author of “Conscious Language” tells us that when our feelings can follow our attention, and we are personal, specific and outcome oriented, wonders happen easily and we attract and accomplish what we desire quickly. This is why learning the art of understanding your emotions and harnessing the power of your emotions is one of the most important educations you can receive.
First, it is important to understand that our natural state is blissful. Bill Harris, creator of Centerpointe Research, tells us that if one side of our brain is dominant over the other side of our brain we begin to experience ourselves as seperate. He goes on to explain that all disfunctional behaviors and emotions are a result of being in opposition to “the world.” The Buddha states that “it is your resistance to ‘what is’ that causes your suffering.” You may notice in your own life that when you are resisting, judging, or disapproving of the way someone or something is, you will experience stress, tension and worry both physically and mentally. You may feel a compulsion to change or correct the situation, which will only add to your tension. When we realize our true connection with everything around us, resistance naturally fades away. When we experience connection, through brain synchronization, our sense of well-being increases. This doesn’t mean we cannot change our life circumstances. In fact, when you are in a state of peace and relaxation, you can shift and transform your life with ease!
This is all great on a conceptual level you may be thinking, but what do I do when I feel intense emotions? What do I do when my emotional world (also known as our subconscious) is sabatoging my success? Below I have prepared a helpful guide for you. . .
1) Change your eating habits. A few years ago, I was really depressed. I hated myself and I hated my life. After only a couple months of switching from my fast food diet to a super healthy nutrient dense eating style, all my depression just naturally melted away. A healthy body creates a happy person. I suggest if you have a poor diet, study up on nutrition and health. This might be the only step you require to take.
2) Stay in this moment. Jesus said, “Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.” (Matthew 6:34) There is no possible way you can solve all the problems in your life in a single moment. You can, however, take action and deal with what is happening in this exact moment. Life is easy when you stay present and focus on enjoying every single second.
3) Be very clear that whatever is happening for you is the creation of the programming in your subconscious and unconscious mind. Thanks to the feature film “The Secret” many people are accepting this universal law. Taking responsibility is the first step.
4) Watch your creation. Eckhart Tolle, author of The Power of Now states, “Whenever you feel negativity arising within you, whether caused by an external factor, a thought, or even nothing in particular that you are aware of, look on it as a voice, saying ‘attention Here and Now: Wake up’ Even the slightest irritation is significant and needs to be acknowledged and looked at; otherwise, there will be a cumulative build up of unobserved reactions.”

The only true way to change or transform anything in your life is through what is called a “paradigm shift.” Eve Jones, author of The Logic of Magical Thought and the Dance of the Breath writes, “Changing our behavior through deliberate acts of will usually does nothing positive. We just submerge the imprints deeper into our unconscious. Conscious or unconscious denial doesn’t keep our thoughts from being ‘broadcast’ at all: denial and repression just keep broadcasting the imprints on a frequency band that we’re not picking up on, but that the universe is responsive to.” As a rule, limiting, non-resourceful behavior can only be created unconsciously. When we consciously watch and experience a behavior or emotion which doesn’t serve us, it will naturally fall away. This is called a paradigm shift. We see things from a new perspective. Remember, “until man can experience in consciousness that which is physical, he will be bound to the physical.” In other words, what you resist persists and what you avoid becomes your prison.
5) Breathe. A major way people go unconscious and block their feelings from coming to the surface is by shutting down their breathing. When we breath deeply we feel more and move through more. Many of our strongest imprints were made as a baby, when the oxygen content in our brains and bodies were highest. Eve Jones explains deep breathing “works because it allows us to re-institute the state of having the high-oxygen titer of the blood characteristic of the newborn. When this state is re-created, we gain access to our imprints. Using our conscious mind, intelligently aware of the Here and Now, we can access and revise previously inaccessible imprints which have been creating our reality. We can let go old mistaken negative thoughts.” Remember to take deep breaths!
6) Meditate. Meditation is a technology to balance our brain. Daily meditation will strengthen your awareness, increase your brain synchronization, and bring you more clarity and peace.
7) Get help. If you have tried all of the suggestions above and are still experiencing difficulty with what is coming up for you emotionally, I recommend you find a trusted mentor or therapist. Many successful people have attributed their breakthroughs to a coach or mentor. Someone who has been there before, or who has a broader perspective might be able to pull you out of your swamp.
If you have any questions or additional thoughts or comments on how to harness the power of our emotions, I encourage you to post a comment and share. I love interacting and learning from people like you!

Feeling Juicy – The Foundation Of Success
Aug.03, 2009
Did you know that FEELING JUICY is the most important ingredient for your success? You don’t believe me? Well, read on to find out why feeling good is the corner stone of health, wealth, love, and happiness…
It’s all a simple matter of like attracts like. When we feel good, we invite positive people, places, and events to come into our life. It is very difficult, for example, for a negative complaining person to be around a happy smiley person. They just don’t vibe on the same level. Healthy people are full of life and energy and wealthy people are usually passionate about what they do. If a=b then b=a. If to be healthy, wealthy, and loved means being happy and following your bliss, then choosing to be happy and follow your bliss means you will be healthy, wealthy, and loved. This is why some of my most important breakthroughs in my career and life have been after I did something that made me feel alive, grounded, loved, and happy! When we make pleasure a daily priority we keep ourselves inspired and powerful. It works even better for me when I only take action while I am feeling turned on and tuned in. Anything I do from that space always produces AMAZING results! On the other hand, anything I do when I am feeling grumpy or forced turns out less than ideal to say the least;)
So today I recommend we all make a list of about 10 things that turn us on and make us smile. Then everyday do at least one thing on our list. I look at this as a daily vitamin, a daily dose of pleasure to keep us fine tuned and at our peak. For me, I love to get massages, take walks outside, enjoy warm baths and showers, read good books, eat delicious nutritious food, play with friends, do yoga or belly dancing, cuddle with my man, write in my journal, and live in a clean home.

Bryan and I at a superfood party, enjoying good food and fabulous friends!
When we pay attention to what delights us and excites us, we stay in touch with our passion, intuition, and strengthen our love for ourselves and our world! When we live in a state of pleasure we remain open and receptive to new and fun possibilities. Miracles tend to flow into our lives quickly and easily. And once we fill ourselves up with joy we will have more than enough to give to others. And this, my friend, is the basis of all attraction marketing! Remember, when every day is play, you will never work another day!
Please leave a comment below letting me know the top ten things that rejuvenate and inspire you. I bet you have some great ideas!! Oh, and please share today’s post with your followers on twitter and facebook to help spread the word that self-love and feeling juicy is truly the foundation to our success.
