What a strange feeling I had when exploring Kilauea on the Big Island of Hawaii. I felt the deep, dark wisdom of mother earth. I was taught the importance of embracing all parts of myself. The Earth has dark, cold places, and so do I. And yet, eventually her fierce eruptions and smoke creates a beautiful, fertile island.
