Last week was my birthday week; so, I took time off from blogging, but have no fear, I am back in action with the final installment of my Personal Alchemy Series. If you have yet to watch my other videos in this series Click Here for part 1, Click Here for part 2, and Click Here for part 3. And now, I present to you…. The Fire Element!
The amount of melanin in our skin, or color in our skin, clues us in to how much sun we really require. Melanin acts as a sunscreen and protects your skin. The darker you are, the more sun you will need to penetrate into your skin and create the vitamin D that is so VITAL to our health. As I pointed out in my video, vitamin D deficiency is linked to over 70 types of cancer and is called the “silent epidemic.” Ironically, the time in which it is most benefitial to go outside is the exact time that we have been told to stay inside, around noon. Dr. Michael Holick, who wrote the UV Advantage, tells us that about half of the year in the northern hemisphere, late fall to early spring, there is not enough UV present to create vitamin D. This is why it is very important to develop strategies which will help us to be tan, happy, and full of sunshine…
HOW TO MAXIMIZE VITAMIN D ABSORPTION
1. Get as much sun in the summertime as possible. Luckily, vitamin D is a fat soluble vitamin, meaning it can be stored in your body for quite some time. If you get plenty of sun during the summer, meaning you are outside several hours a day, then you will be able to have enough vitamin D stores for the cold winter months.
2. Expose as much of your body to the sun as possible. There may be parts of your skin that have never seen the light of day! The more you expose the more sun nutrition you receive. Naked sun-bathing is very good for overall health and beauty. Seek out places and times where you can do this… or just expose as much as you are comfortable with.
3. Use cod liver oil or krill oil. Vitamin D is stored in the liver. By eating the liver of fish the Inuits were able to live healthily lives in their massively cold climate. If you live in a cold or cloudy place and are not apposed to eating animal products, this is the best vitamin D supplement. Some mushrooms and other food have a little vitamin D in them too… Plant sources contain vitamin D2 and animal sources contain vitamin D3. I suggest doing some research on foods containing this valuable nutrient. Vitamin D is extremely important to Longevity and Health!
The more we immerse ourselves in nature, the more we will gather into our bodies the quintessence, life-force, and prana which is the 5th Element. Let us all make it our intention to leave behind more of the artificial world we were born into and become more wild and FREE! Instead of watching a movie or gathering around the TV, let us gather around the fire, go out into nature, breathe fresh forest air, soak in hotsprings, drink fresh spring water, sungaze, and eat mineral dense wild food. The 5 elements are the true LIVING forces. By becoming the master of the elements, we become the master of LIFE!!

Hey Rose, that was really cool! You have lots of knowledge about natural energy and things that I am only starting to learn about now.
I’m really interested in more information about how the sun is not the major cause of skin cancer.
I’ve read previously that it’s more to do with the toxic chemicals in your body that reacts with the sun, rather than the sun itself.
Do you have more information on that?
Thanks again for your great video.

Hi George! You are absolutely right! From my studies I have found that it is not the sun which causes cancer, but the toxins in our diet which come to the surface of our skin when we hang out in the sun and also the toxins in sunscreen which are driven into our body by the sun and which also block vitamin D absorption. Now if you frequently get sunburned, that actually CAN cause cancer. This is why getting sun on a consistent basis is so important… It trains your body to react appropriately to sun exposure. The best way to protect yourself from too much UV is to eat lots of antioxidant rich foods (foods with a lot of color) and put on a healthy and edible oil (like coconut, shea, and/or cacao butter) before going out into the hot summer sun. You cannot absorb calcium and other vital nutrients if you do not have enough vitamin D.

You are so smart!!! I love this post and all of this new knowledge you bring to us. I am addicted to sunglasses…but recently lost mine, so maybe I won’t replace them.
Love the experiment with your barefeet! Maybe I should try that in Maine this winter.
I also love nude sun bathing!
Thanks so much, Debbie!

Thanks for the feedback Rose and agree with Sue (that you’re smart, not the nude bathing, yet!
Cool, it’s starting to make sense.
Enough sun but just not burning. And I guess that can be quite a fine barrier depending how toxic your body is.
Your body will need to be super and healthy and alkaline then to be safe.
Now, the sunglass thing, aren’t UV’s dangerous for your eyes though?
Thanks!
George

That’s a good question and something that I require to do more research on. Here is what I know for sure…
1. Our eyes give feedback to our bodies about how much light is present and prepares our body to receive UV
2. No UV is present 1 hour after the sun rises ad 1 hour before so it is safe to gaze into the sun (the closer it is to the horizon the better)
3. Gazing into the sun when there is UV present IS harmful to our eyes
4. If you are not looking into the sun you are really only seeing the reflected light of the sun.
My feeling is that UV has gotten a bad rep and can actually be very healthy for our eyes as well as our skin in the right amount. Also, everything has it’s place and sunglasses could be very beneficial to wear if you are driving straight into the sun:) LOL
I hope this helps a little:) Thanks for being so sweet! I will check out that plugin… Thanks for the tip!

Debbie,
Or should I say Rose? I want you to know that I never subscribe to anything. However, after watching your videos on youtube I am a changed man, lol. I hadn’t realized how much stress and unbalanced energy I had been carrying around. Your whole presence, personality, and delivery completely soothed the grumpy lion in me and lifted my spirit like the flight of doves up into the air. It was just what I needed to get me back on track. If only more human beings on the planet could be more like you, what a better place this world would be.
Finally, though I have another website, http://www.smartfunds.ws, I felt because you delivered such powerful yet meek balanced energy to my soul I put my http://www.urfirstenergychoice.com above as it seems kind of fitting being my primary business, lol.
Anyway, you can see me on twitter under 1stenergy and also on youtube under ‘urfirstenergychoice’. Thank you for being a major Blessing.
Warm thoughts to you on this chilly December morning in New England.

That 16 year old French girl in Paris has a nickname for me. She calls me Sunshine since I brighten her life. My nickname for her is Rainbow since she is so great when her depression fades and she shines. The link that my name leads to is all about how sunlight is healthy for you.
Now UV-C light from the sun is very bad for you. What you know about is the UV-A and UV-B light. You must avoid the UV-C light from the sun at all costs. Just a small amount will completely destroy your skin. It is like burning acid on the skin. So this means that you should never get any. Note that if you are a vampire, then you must avoid all sunlight.
So here are my instructions on how to avoid the ultraviolet C light. Say people fly to the moon and build a glass dome with an artificial atmosphere there under the dome. Never sunbathe on the moon since the UV-C light will destroy your skin. That is how to avoid it. Note by pure coincidence or pure luck the atmosphere on the earth filters out all the UV-C light.
Could you be any luckier? Cod liver oil is also a great source of omega-3 EFAs but some scientists say that all the vitamin A in the cod liver oil will compete with the sites that receive the vitamin D so they say not to use cod liver oil.
The NCI (National Cancer Institute) put on a 2 day conference on vitamin D with over 100 brilliant scientists. It is all summed up in this 29 minute video with graphs and everything. It is a U of CA video.
http://vit-d.notlong.com
It calls the optimum amount of vitamin D– lifeguard levels since lifeguards sit in the sun mostly nude all day. The NCI is one of the 27 National Institutes of Health (NIH). One of the most famous television shows in America was about lifeguards– Baywatch.
It was on TV for so long, it had 2 very different casts. Here is one of them http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ZrdVfoRSiA
I like Yasmin Bleeth.
Here is a different cast that some say is the best one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vJwudOiV8AA&feature=related
This one has Pamela Anderson. Borat liked her.

I really liked that story about walking barefoot in the cold. So you can say that you have hot feet.
Have you ever heard of the classic movie, Dances with Wolves? He got that name from the Native Americans when he was playing around with his pet wolf. It won the Academy Award (Oscar) for Best Picture. Trailer for it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zMOQORiWn80&feature=PlayList&p=2C02D8C149215515&index=2
So my Native American name for you is Dances with Fire. This is the fire element post. So I dub thee Rose Goddess– Dances with Fire.

Nice to see that there are blog owners that care about their blogs and not post all kind of useless stuff but rather try to keep it clean and valuable for the sake of their subscribers. You’ve done a great job and i thank you for that and also for not traumatizing me with useless garbage and spam. You know, if you look for new ways to promote and improve you blog, i’ve open myself a corner of cyberspace and i would like to share it with you and your visitors, because it’s a good chance for anyone to learn how they can promote their websites and any online business if they have any for free or very low costs.I’m still getting it done and working on it as we speak, so it’s not as i wish but it’s a work in progress that already has value to it. If you care and wann help maybe you will link to it and why not let your friends know. It will get crazy this month cause i will give away alot of goodies.Visit:
