Breastfeeding My Magical Child

Now that I am a mother, breastfeeding has become my daily meditation. For me it is a time to relax and use my creative energy to grow an exceptionally happy and healthy being. As Sheila Kitzinger says, “Breastfeeding is not a matter of filling a baby up with milk as you might fill the tank of a car. It is an intimate dialogue between two people.” I realize what I think and feel during breastfeeding nurtures my son’s soul just as much as what I eat nurtures his body. So, whenever I remember, I relax my shoulders, take in a deep breath, and let go of any tension, stress, or negative emotions. I become completely and totally present, focusing only on my son and the love I have for him. Below is a short poem I wrote which reflects the feelings and thoughts I desire to convey to my son while feeding him…

Breastfeeding My Magical Child
I love you my angel,
my cosmic son
You’re perfect and gorgeous
and so much fun!

Your soul is pure
Your eyes are bright
You’re filled with love
and bathed in light

Your understanding deep
Your courage is strong
You heal with your touch
and soothe with your song

I feed you my milk
to nourish your flesh
all you require
pure love to ingest

I feed you my milk
to nourish your soul
connect you to Earth
and the Universe, whole

Angels and fairies
now wait your command
To do the bidding
of a real God Man

A real God Man
that’s who you are
A real God Man
with your own bright star

A real God Man
advanced in every way
A real God Man
enjoying Divine Play

I love you my angel,
my cosmic son
You’re perfect and gorgeous
and SO MUCH FUN!!

Ode to My Bouncy Ball

A few weeks after David’s birth, we discovered the quickest and easiest way to soothe him to sleep was to bounce him up and down on our exercise ball. Recently, our poor ball was somehow punctured and we required to purchase a new one. So as not to make this transition without showing my gratitude, I decided to dedicate a poem to our former bouncy ball…

Ode to My Bouncy Ball
Oh bouncy ball
my precious toy
you helped me soothe
my little boy

When he was sad
and needed sleep
you rescued me
from baby’s weep

You’ve been with me
through thick and thin
I knew with you
I’d always win

I took you on
each journey I made
at parties and meetings
you were my aid

alas you’re flat
and past your prime
We bought a new ball
who’s young and fine

But you will still
be in my heart
The first to give
a peaceful start

Me soothing David to sleep (he is about 1 1/2 months young here)

Bryan can soothe him to sleep too!

Money you’ve been
the whore of the earth
You enslave mankind
from the moment of birth

You stimulate greed,
exhaustion and pain
You make me do things
that are totally lame

You give to the men
consumed with power
You starve little children
who suffer each hour

Now here I stand
looking at you
I must end this thing
so I can start new

Thanks to Morgana
I know that I can
Dump this impostor
and get a new man

My sexy new money
who follows God’s plan
Who loves and adores me
He’s my biggest fan!

His only desire
is to see me thrive
He provides what I need
so my spirit’s ALIVE!

Our relationship with money
is tangible and real
Let go of the monster
It’s time to heal

Bring in your Lover,
Goddess and Friend
The money who guides you
and gives with a grin

Then just relax,
and follow your leads
And abundance will flow
and you will be free!

Paradigm shift
Global lift
From what we were taught
From what we have bought

Dormant energy in our brain
Infinite wisdom will explain
Cells of purity procreate
DNA Activate!

From milk to meat
Our transition is strange
To taste new things
Watch our mind rearrange

Are we served to fight
For truth and right?
Or resist no evil
And love what’s in sight?

Is it right and wrong
Or is everything God?
Is it what we create?
This is the debate

Pleasure and pain
Is it just in our head?
Intensity shaped by
Decisions we fed?

Is experience the only way to tell?
Experiences vary and are different as well

Some see God,
Some see hate,
Same situation
Same fate

Life can be an adventure galore!
Because we are loved and provided for!

The ride of our time
A shift so sublime!
Miracle blossoming
Human to Divine!

Our planets evolution in NOW

Mother Earth

I have been asked to give my praise
To a woman in my life
Who’s been a big influence on me
Mother? Sister? Friend? or Wife?

And then I thought of you, my love
Who’s been there since my birth
She’s strong and wise and beautiful
She is my Mother Earth!!

When I am sad, lost or confused
I go outside to meet her
She soothes me with warm sun, cool moon,
Soft grass, strong trees who feed her

She never mentions lack of things
Or tells me that I need them
Because she is abundant now
In food, and fun, and freedom

She never tries to take from me
She gives and gives and gives
She knows she is the source of love
And supports me as I live

My Mother Earth has much to teach
And does so as I’m ready
To be with her is adventurous fun
Her mysteries are so many

She can be fierce, she can be cold
But never for too long
And no matter what her season is
She sings her sacred song

I desire to be just like my earth
So lush and fresh and wild
Please give me more of you to love
And a place to raise my child!
