I was just reading the Wikipedia article on Annenberg. It is fun reading about his life. He gave half a billion dollars ($500 million) to American public education-- the largest amount ever.

Back at that time, a billion dollars was worth much more than it is now. In today's dollars that half a billion would be worth about 5 billion dollars. When he was young, it would cost about 35 cents to see a movie.

Emotions are the most important thing. Here is an example. The richest person in the Philadelphia area was billionaire Walter Annenberg. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walter_Annenberg

He created TV Guide and Seventeen Magazine. He owned the Philadelphia Inquirer. He has donated more money to education than anyone ever. Due to emotions, not lack of money, his son died while attending Harvard College. He killed himself because he was depressed.

The purpose of life is to get back to that natural state of bliss. In Buddhism they call it the original mind. When people play sudoku they are using their intellect. But why are they even playing it. Because it makes them feel good. It is fun. Children know that emotions are the most important thing.

They do not care about the health care plan or the economy. They want to feel good and have fun. A friend of mine had me take her son to an amusement fair. Her son, Rowan, loved going on these rides, loved going through the fun house and was having the time of his life. I loved it too since I am like a little kid.

When his mother came back and we got in her car, Rowan started crying. He did not want to leave since he loved being there. Earlier, I told the mother to come back at 10PM, 2 hours later. I should have told her to come pick us up when the fair was closing.

Love the post! I have found so much freedom in understanding my emotions. I live by Abraham Hick's emotional scale. If I feel an emotion that isn't as I'm wanting to feel, then I work the scale. I journal into feeling better. And yes, breathing is great too.
